About Me

Small business owners face many of the same employee and management challenges as larger organizations, often without an HR team to turn to for guidance.

I'm Weronika Formus, an HR consultant with extensive experience in senior HR business partnering. I spent most of my career at Signature Bank and Flagstar Bank, progressing from an HR associate to a senior HR business partner. I advised executives and senior leaders on employee relations, workplace investigations, performance management, compensation, promotions, and organizational change. I also worked closely with managers on employee concerns, difficult conversations, and decisions affecting their teams.

At Signature Bank, I was part of the organization’s growth from approximately 300 employees to more than 2,200. When Signature Bank was acquired by Flagstar Bank, I supported leaders and employees through the transition. These experiences strengthened my ability to navigate complex employee matters, address organizational challenges, and help leaders balance business priorities with fair and consistent HR practices.

I bring that experience to small and growing businesses that need experienced HR expertise at a level that fits their needs. Whether you're dealing with a performance concern, reviewing your employee handbook, hiring and onboarding employees, or figuring out how your team should evolve as the business grows, I can help you work through the issue and identify a sensible path forward.

As an independent HR consultant, I work directly with business owners and managers, providing personalized support based on their needs. That might be a single question, a defined project, or ongoing support.

I hold the SHRM-CP credential and a bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management from Baruch College.
